About VSD:

Victorian Scarlett Designs (VSD) is specialized in designing, creating, and recovering/repairing of high fashion couture, bridal wear and historical costumes. We have the experience of several years of investigating historical clothing from all eras and we try to consult this knowledge as much as possible during the designing and creating of our couture, bridal wear and historical costumes. However, this doesn't mean that we solely direct ourselves to historically inspired couture. We are always open for other creative and original ideas of potential clients! Next to this, VSD offers you a small historically inspired standard sized clothing line, which changes from time to time and will expand in the future.

Couture: Our high fashion couture, bridal couture and historical costumes are designed and created with the utmost care and are made to measure only. With made to measure, we mean that a piece (ia with the help of mock ups) will be made according to your own body measurements. This results in a perfect fitting garment. We can create, according to your wishes as a customer, the most beautiful and unique couture evening gowns and ball gowns as well as bridal couture and historical costumes. Every couture design is unique and will be designed and created completely to the wishes of the customer, and therefore will not be duplicated.

Standard sized clothing line, accessories and jewellery: Our off the rack (standard sized) clothing line is historically inspired and consists ia of blouses, tops and skirts. In stock items are limited, mostly sizes Small and Medium, but every item is available in other standard sizes and will be created upon request and with a slightly longer delivery time. Also, it's possible to upgrade all the standard sized pieces we offer to a made to measure garment, at an extra cost. Please ask about the possibilities! Next to our clothing we also offer accessories and jewellery! Everything can be found in our Online Shop.
Our ready to wear line is currently rather small but we're still working on it and will add new pieces every now and then. So keep an eye on our website for new items! The addition of new items will always be mentioned in the "News" section on the Home page.

Recovery/repair and replicas: Next to the designing and creating of couture and standard sized pieces, we can also recover and repair excisting couture pieces, bridal wear and theatre costumes. Next to this, we can create exact replicas of historic costumes, for example for the theatre, museums and exhibitions.
